nine days without ff. playoffs without ww.
recent realization: you know what helps make it easy to not eat french fries? don't go out to eat somewhere that you usually order ff. on New Year's Eve I ate a cheeseburger and fries at Deep Ellum. and then it was farewell. sayonara. ttyl. miss you. peace. see you soon....I mean it's the NFL playoffs so fried food is in my future.
those look good. you know what doesn't look good? our chances of beating Baltimore without our Special Little Guy.
when he crumbled to the ground with his torn ACL and MCL, I crumbled to the ground with denial. I'm sure many of you did, too.
Belichick blames Houston's Reliant Stadium's field conditions for the injury. uhhhh why was he playing anyways? the Pats had nothing to gain with a win in Week 17. stupid. that's beating a dead horse though.
I've even read some people think this injury of WW could be career-ending. poor WW. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
and I'll still be rooting for the Pats. probably while eating french fries.

resolutions - fail or win?
with a new year comes thinking...reflection on the past year, resolutions for the new one. well I've been doing just that. hi brain, I know I left you out of conversations, work and decision-making last year, but 2010 is going to be different.
for instance, I've resolved to blog more. you might disagree, but I'm putting a lot of thought into this blog post.
I'm also trying to conquer my nighttime snacking ritual (4 nights going strong).
well lookyhere, not only am I blogging, here are me and Biff having our bedtime snacks before we go to bed, like responsible and healthy adults.
all these downer forces out there are trying to discourage resolutions, saying they are pointless and that they just make you feel bad about yourself when you fail -- I'm not denying these truths. but isn't the glass half full for those 4 nights that you don't wake up in the middle of the night and eat leftover spaghetti?
as I let my brain mull this one over, I'm reminded of one of my favorite proverbs: one person's Epic FAIL is another person's WIN.
